Through events, partnerships, and continued community engagement, we aim to foster a culture of safety and respect on Florida's roads.
In 2024, the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association, Inc. Board of Directors established the Florida Transportation Work Zone Memorial Fund to honor and remember road workers who lost their lives in Florida’s roadway and bridge work zones. A permanent memorial will be placed in a prominent location at a State of Florida rest area, serving both as a tribute to fallen workers and a powerful reminder to travelers about the importance of safe driving in work zones.
Our Mission
To put into place and maintain a memorial to all who have perished in a road or bridge construction work zone and to bring awareness to fellow travelers of the importance of respecting and adhering to the signs approaching and in such work zones that protect not only road workers but the traveling public.
